    Merry Christmas!!

Nanny Tammy sent these two ornament to Zach.

They’re so cute and very Texas.

Hope you had a wonderful day with family and friends. This is the first time in 9 years we didn’t spend Christmas day with my side of the fam. While they celebrated in CT, we spent Zach’s first Christmas in our new home down here in Dallas. It was nice and quiet. Zach obviously doesn’t understand what’s going on yet, but it was fun to unwrap his gifts in front of him and then give him the wrapping paper to play with. He tried to eat it…several times.

    "where should I start?"

"No peanut, you can't eat the wrapping paper."

After we opened presents, we got ready for church. I was so excited to attend Gateway. It’s unbelievable and I can’t wait for next weeks service.

I should have you know that Zach’s cute rocking horse sweater was $7 from a consignment shop called Tree House in Yardley. What a steal huh?

    LOVE.

After church we came home, ate lunch and took naps. Stu dozed off first, then Zach, and lastly me. A very eventful Christmas Day it was. We had planned on taking a walk around the neighborhood, but the Zzzz’s won.

After our naps I entertained Zach while Stu put together his Baby Einstein bouncer seat.

I can’t wait to plop Zach down in this crazy contraption. I have a feeling his little play mat may be be taking a back seat for a while once he spends a few minutes in his entertainment center new seat.

Oh, before I forget, last week I bought the Shark Navigator vacuum (at Walmart.) My mom was raving about it. She loves hers and insisted I get one.

So glad I did. I want another shark for upstairs, or even just to have as a back-up. I’m not kidding, it’s that good.

“Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro – NV356E Upright Vacuum Cleaner… The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro provides powerful deep carpet and bare floor cleaning that Never Loses Suction. Cleaning has never been faster or easier with the unique, large capacity, portable canister and exclusive Dust-Away hard floor attachment. Lightweight and steerable, plus Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology that traps over 99.99% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not back into the air you breathe.”

Definitely a good post-Christmas present if you’re ocd about cleaning like me :0)

    Merry Merry y’all!

It’s been a crazy and hectic last two weeks, but we survived! I’m happy to report that our move went wonderfully and we are all settled. We even got our trees up :0)

Since everything’s bigger in Texas, next year we plan on getting a super tall tree to fill this space. It’s the perfect Christmas tree spot and the tree we have now doesn’t look right here. He’s a little lost, haha.

We put our little 6 ft. tree in the front window for all to see.

Here are a few pics of our house. Me likey. A lot.

Stu flew in last Saturday. The movers came last Thursday. My mom and I unpacked the entire house in 2.5 days- just in time to surprise Stu. I made him think we’d spend his entire vacation unpacking. Little did he know…bwahahaha. All that’s left for him to do is unpack a few boxes in his office and break down the 10,000 boxes in the garage. Shouldn’t be too bad.

Seriously though, I don’t know what I would have done if my mom wasn’t here to help out. She is the best ever. We worked our asses off from Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon unpacking this entire house. Oh, and decorated it too. Now it feels like home. I love it, and never want to leave.

    Stockings are so overrated.

It’s hard to believe that two weeks ago our entire lives were packed up on a truck en route to Texas.

The dogs are adjusting fabulously. I should mention that Phoebe fell in the pool within 3 minutes of getting to our house. I almost had to jump in after her. Turns out, pugs (at least Phoebe) can swim. She doggy paddled to the side of the pool and I pulled her out. That was a close call. We blocked off part of the yard so the puggies can’t get near the pool.

Back to the big reveal…Stu was shocked when he walked into the house last Saturday night. He couldn’t believe all that we had done. Surprise!!

Now that we are all settled into our new Dallas digs, I can relax and enjoy the holidays. Riesling please.

Merry Merry friends! Have a wonderful Christmas.

    xxoo,

    Lisa

    Hello friends-

I’ve been a bad blogger but these next two weeks are going to be hell crazy. The movers are here packing up all of our stuff. They’re back tomorrow to finish up. Thursday everything will be loaded onto the trucks. It’s very emotional to see our lives get boxed up. We’ve had some of the best years of lives in this house. Ugh, I’m gonna stop before the tears come.

A few of you have asked how Phoebe and Miles are getting to Texas. Well, since flying with them wasn’t an option, we arranged for Sissy and her crew from We Move Pets to transport them. Road trip for the monster dogs! Phoebs and Miles start their journey down to Texas first thing tomorrow morning. They love car rides so I hope they enjoy the next 5 days of travel. I know they’ll be in good hands.

I’m getting big time assistance from our sitter Tamilicious. She’s helping me pack our bags for CT, along with all the other crap we’ll need for next week (while we stay in a hotel until our stuff gets to the new house.)

We are officially Texas bound y’all! Exciting but scary.

Thanks again for being so patient while I make this transition. This whole process has been a whirlwind. I’m staying as calm as possible and taking one day at a time. I’m ready to begin the next chapter of our lives in the great state of Texas.

Here’s what’s been going on with us over the past week.

    - We went to NY last Thursday to visit all my friends at 923NOW and also to introduce Zach to of Stu’s co-workers.

-We spent quality time with Meems and also discovering candy and books.

-I had a lovely goodbye dinner with my closest girlfriends Saturday night, It was just what I needed.

Meems, me and Zach at the station (from last week)

Zach's God Father Chris, Stu, Z and me

fun at my old station! Miss these guys!

    mom and I

gonna miss this city- not some of the rude people though :0)

the next day someone was exhausted from his big trip to NYC

    out like a light

    Mr. trouble

"I can hold up my head now!"

Zach can finally hold up his little head. He’s becoming a fan of the bumbo.

Now that Zach can hold up his head, he’s become quite the show-off. As you can see, he can now read, hahaha!!!

    cute little conservative!

Saturday night, I had a goodbye dinner with 9 of my closest friends. We went to my favorite restaurant, Seasons 52. They have a Seasons in Plano, TX and you better believe I’ll be dining there.

    Pic’s from my din.

Lori, Michelle, me, Ang and Danielle. I’ll miss them SO MUCH!

Nicole, Michelle, Nicole, me, Lori, Dan and Ang- after dinner.

one of my dearest friends, Nicole..

gonna miss running with Lori. Wahh.

    Ang and I

Stay up-to-date with everything going on in Bucks county by going to Ang’s site, BucksHappening.com

    bestie- Dan

    another bestie- Nic

And there you have it. I’ve said my good-byes. It was sad, but I know my friends will be down to visit (especially in the winter.) We’re already planning a trip up this way after the shitious winter is over in the spring

This weekend we’ll be in CT for our 3rd Annual Madison Ladies Christmas party. It’s Saturday night and I’m hosting it at my mom’s house. Sunday and Monday are my only two rest days before Zach, my mom and I fly down to Texas and begin phase three of this move. Stu is coming down next Saturday. Wish us luck and talk to y’all from the Lone Star State. xxoo
