Hiii!

I woke up with a wicked sore throat. This SUCKS. Although I feel like crap, I’m toughing it out and not going to the 11:30 spinning class. Another reason I’m feeling blah?? I ate like a loaf of fruit bread before bed last night. Yup, that’ll do it. Damn you fruit bread!! It was good enough to NOT throw out.

Tomorrow I have to go to Homegoods. I need some decorating ideas and inspiration.

What should I get to go in this space? I was thinking of a round table with some kind of extravagant floral arrangement. I had an interior decorator come over last week and she thought a curved bench or table in this area would look nice. Hmm. I should spend some time on pinterest. Are you following me? Seach lisapaigeNOW. Warning: I’m a newbie and my boards aren’t that impressive.

I should watch some more HGTV. Perhaps a little “Donna Decorates Dallas?”

Lilies are pretty (these are lilies right?) Unfortunately the smell is killing me. Maybe it’s because I bought two bunches? Double the flowers, double the oder. They look pretty though.

Tonight we’re going out with some friends to dinner at Sambuca.  Should be fun.

One thing that never gets old is loving on our little Zach Attack. He’s the BEST.

What are you doing today?

Ok, so here is what I’ve learned over the years. The way to think about a space is “how do I actually (not “dream use”) but ACTUALLY use this space. Is it a “pass through” on the way tosomewhere else space or is it an actual “I sit down and like to spend time here” kind of space.

So, once you answer that….do you want to actually stop and spend time there….or pass through while enjoying the beauty of the space….then you will know how you need to address it. But you must always be mindful of how you – personally, you and Stu, etc. – use that space. Not how you think it”should be used” or…”want to be used”… but rather , what do YOUR life patterns dictate how you move through that space.

Once you decide that, post again and I would love to follow up with my opinion…never short on that!:-)

I think an oversized vase with some curly branches would look fabulous!

Something I learned a long time ago while working in a flower shop (I have a florist cousin), you should remove the stamen from your flowers so you don’t get that pollen all over the surface of wherever your flowers are (and so it won’t stain anaything). :)

That is a beautiful space… I think what you do with it all depends on the theme you have going on. It doesn’t look country to me but more Mediterranean or New Orleans style?

I would get a beautiful round oriental rug in the center of the room with a nice wood or glass topped table on top of the rug in the middle of the room and keep a nice vase with fresh flowers on the table all the time. As for the wall beautiful art work and lots of it. Looks like a beautiful big foyer Good luck!
