    Why hello there.

It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? I have no idea if anyone even reads this blog anymore. I figured it was time to post a few pics of the kids. Last time I checked in was almost six months ago. #slacker

I took this pic of Ainslee (Birdie,) last week. She just turned 15 months old. I hate that she is growing so fast.

And this was after Birdie tasted ketchup for the first time. She wasn’t in to it.

And here’s my favorite guy, my sweet Zach.

We were at Zoe’s having lunch when I snuck this shot. Zach will be three in August. Crazy!! How is my baby boy already three years old?

He takes his shopping very seriously.

Stu and I went to my first “mom prom” a couple of months ago. The Moms league that I’m in have a yearly gala. It was so much fun to actually get dressed up or once. I’m already looking forward to next years.

I got my dress from Rent the Runway. Most of my friends got their dresses from RTR too. I will definitely be using them again. Totally worth it.

Okay, well, I hope someone is reading this, haha. More later, maybe.

It was a bid day for mommy Ainslee today! She got her ears pierced. Three days shy of turning 9 months, my baby girl joined the bling ring.

We went to Sweet and Sassy to have them done. I will admit that I was a nervous wreck. I felt guilty too. Ainslee was (and always is) so smiley, and knowing that she had no idea what was about to happen definitely tugged at my heart-strings, not gonna lie. Naturally she let out a loud cry when the earrings went in, but we had her bottle on hand and gave it to her immediately after they were pierced. I also gave her Tylenol an hour or so before we had them done so I believe that helped too. Anyway, it’s over now and I can breath. Exhale……

The picture below was taken literally a minute after her ears were pierced. Look, all smiles.

I swear, I was more anxious than Ainslee was. After we had her ears done, we went to lunch and stopped at Gap Kids. Of course, I walked out with a bag of stuff for the kids. What else is new?

A is modeling her new pink fox hat.

    Ten minutes later…

I took this tonight before bath and bed time. It’s like Ainslee is saying “Yippee, I have my ears pierced!”

It wasn’t all about Ainslee today. Earlier Z had t-ball practice. He’s getting so good. It’s amazing to see the progress he’s made over the past two months. We re-registered him for the winter session since he seems to really love it.

When we walked in, Zach said “Hi coach!”

Are y’all watching the CMA’s? Gosh, they are a million times better than any other awards show. Seriously. My friend Jenn and her hubby are there live tonight. No sightings in the audience though. At least not yet.

Our Christmas lights are up. Yup, the company came today and outlined the whole house, hung wreaths and garland; the whole nine. As much as I’d love to fire them up now, we’re waiting until the week of Thanksgiving. Boo!

My friend Marina tweeted me this earlier.

No, for real, my dvr is set to record all the new HALLMARK Channel Christmas movies, every Saturday and Sunday night through Christmas. Now we’re just waiting on Fa La La La Lifetime to get their movie lineup going.

Hope you’re having a great week so far. I’ll catch up more with ya this weekend!

Okay, so I’m making a conscious effort to get up early with Stu so that I can drink my coffee and watch the news for a few before Z ans A get up. There is nothing worse than getting up at the same time as your kids. You have NO time to yourself, or as say “ease into the day.” Anyway, so here I am blogging, drinking coffee and watching the news at 6:30a. Wakey wakey.

Speaking of the kids, Ainslee turned 8 months yesterday. Where is the time going? She’s cutting her first bottom tooth. Exciting stuff.

Meanwhile, Zach is totally into pumpkins this year. He LOVES them. We have several trips planned to the pumpkin patch over the next couple of weeks. Seeing him get so excited over them gets me excited and makes me smile.

Isn’t this a cute Halloween idea?

Too bad it wouldn’t ever last at my house. We’d eat those cornies so fast. Lately I’ve been adding a few to my ice cream. Sure, they get cold and harden up, whoooofc. Still amaze!

If you’re a fellow stay-at-home-mom, you’ve got to read this great article. What the hell is wrong with people? I admit that before we had kids, I was one of those clueless ignorant people who thought being a sahm was a luxury, fun and easy. OKAY, young naive Lisa. Okay.

    11 years!

Ahhhh, our 11 year anniversary is next week. It just so happens that our fave, Michale Buble will be in town that night, so of course we’re going to the show. I can’t wait. I made sure to book my hair appointment that day so I’ll be freshly highlighted and blown out for our fun night.

    Bad brows..

I’m thinking about going to the brow bar at Ulta today. My friend went recently and had a good experience. My brows have seen better days.

    Dior love

I’m diggin’ Dior’s new overcurl mascara these days. For the past four years, the ONLY mascara I’ve used is Bobbi Brown’s no smudge. I’ve tried other mascaras but have always gone back to BB. At the trend show 2 weeks ago, overcurl was featured. I bought it (because it was something new) but assumed it would be like all the others and I’d hate it. No so. I actually really like it. I like it a lot. In my book, this is worth the money.

Zach has school today so while he’s there, Ainslee and I are going to Pier 1 to buy my friend a new house warming gift.

    Have a great Thursday!

    Happy weekend!

Stu is in Belize. Yes, Belize the country. This is where he’s staying.

I was going to go but then felt mom guilt about leaving the kids, so Stu went with his co-worker (and my sister’s bf) Sean. They are having a nice romantic few days together, bahahahha,

I do kind of wish I was there now that I’m looking at these pics.

While Stu and Sean bask in the sun, I’m home with the babies. We went for a walk this morning. This double stroller business is for the birds.

Don’t they look excited to be out in the sun? I pulled back their visors for picture purposes.

Rewind back to last night. Sarah and I went to see Miranda Lambert. She was FANTASTIC (like always.)

We were in the pit right in front. Not too shabby.

My sister is over now and we’re taking the kids to the mall. I need a Nordies fix anyway.

    Ainslee says hi.

Zach and I got a little crazy with photo booth last night.

Oh, before I go, LOOK what I found yesterday!

    Gonna miss this…

    Have an awesome weekend.
