Happy Labor Day!
Sorry that I’m late to the game. We’ve been busy running errands and eating out today :0)
Zach woke up at 7am and by 730 momma wanted a coffee, but not just any kind of coffee, Dunkin’ Donuts pumpkin spice coffee. While Stu slept, Z and I took a little ride to DD. Um, yeah…
True story. I don’t why I get so pumped up for this
shit coffee. It tastes horrible. Not even close to a pumpkin-ey flavor. It’s way too sweet. I tried so hard to like it and it wasn’t happening. After 4.5 sips I dumped it.
Truthfully, I want Wawa’s pumpkin spice coffee. I’m considering buying a 4 cup coffee brewer and having my friend send me down a bag. As much as I adore my Keurig, I think there’s more of a variety of coffee flavors for actual coffee pots. What do you think?
In other fun family news, once my husband woke up, the three of us went to the Corner Bakery for breakfast. I love their farmers scrambler. That totally made up for the nasty DD coffee I had earlier. After brekki we went to Babies R Us to get our baby proofing on. Zach approved of everything :0) What a kid.
I keep forgetting it’s Monday- yay for me because today I’m 16 weeks along! Unlike some other bloggers, I’ll spare you the same 16 pictures (of different angles and such) of my belly every week. One or two will do. K?
What’s baby up to this week?
Your baby now weighs in at a whopping three to five ounces, and he’s four to five inches in length. The bones that are now in place in his ears means he can probably hear your voice as you talk to your partner and pals and sing in the car. While he’s getting used to your voice, the tiny muscles in his body, especially the ones in his back, are gaining strength, so he can straighten out a little more. And thanks to his developing facial muscles, your baby is capable of making a few expressive frowns and squints, even at this early stage. (Don’t worry, those frowns have nothing to do with the sound of your voice!) And his eyes are finally working, making small side-to-side movements and perceiving light (although the eyelids are still sealed).
Thankfully I’ve been feeling great. I think this pregnancy is going to be like the last. Fingers crossed. So far, so good.
It’s hard to believe that in the next few weeks I’ll start feeling little kicks. I felt them with Zach right around the 20 week mark. It’s so exciting. There were many nights I’d sit and just stare at my belly moving. It’s fascinating.
Zach is starting to walk 6 and 7 feet at a time which means I have to go. Time to follow him around.
Hope your Labor Day has been a nice and relaxing one.
