    Merry Merry!

    Posted in: Holidays

She really is sweeter than a candy cane.

    Hi there!

It’s Christmas time! Wow. Where did the Fall go?

Monday night was my stations Jingle Ball and holy. It was bad ass. Robin Thicke, Flo Rida, One Republic, Selena, Pitbull, Jason Derulo and Enrique, all were amaze! My sis came with. She loved it too.

I have been really bad about keeping up with this blog. I think it’s safe to say that you can’t expect new posts from me every day. Clearly, I’ve proven that. Instead (at least for now,) I will post when I can/want or have time too. You know pre-kids, I’d be all over this blog. I can’t believe there was a period of time when I was posting three times a day. Dayyyyuuummm!

In between taking a billion pictures of the kids, I got crafty in the kitchen yesterday. Thank you pinterest.

And thae there’s these two Christmas cuties.

    A AND Z

I haven’t done any Christmas shopping. Like, none at all. Zach is at that age where he knows who Santa is, but doesn’t really “know” what he does or how presents get under the tree. We’re getting him a few things, but not going crazy. Ainslee is getting nothing…kidding, but again, what does a 10 month old really need? I can wrap Tupperware and honestly, they’d both love it and not know the difference.

Okay, my dvr is about to explode because it’s so overloaded with Hallmark Channel movies. I’m going to try and make a dent in one.

    Bye for now babes!

It was a bid day for mommy Ainslee today! She got her ears pierced. Three days shy of turning 9 months, my baby girl joined the bling ring.

We went to Sweet and Sassy to have them done. I will admit that I was a nervous wreck. I felt guilty too. Ainslee was (and always is) so smiley, and knowing that she had no idea what was about to happen definitely tugged at my heart-strings, not gonna lie. Naturally she let out a loud cry when the earrings went in, but we had her bottle on hand and gave it to her immediately after they were pierced. I also gave her Tylenol an hour or so before we had them done so I believe that helped too. Anyway, it’s over now and I can breath. Exhale……

The picture below was taken literally a minute after her ears were pierced. Look, all smiles.

I swear, I was more anxious than Ainslee was. After we had her ears done, we went to lunch and stopped at Gap Kids. Of course, I walked out with a bag of stuff for the kids. What else is new?

A is modeling her new pink fox hat.

    Ten minutes later…

I took this tonight before bath and bed time. It’s like Ainslee is saying “Yippee, I have my ears pierced!”

It wasn’t all about Ainslee today. Earlier Z had t-ball practice. He’s getting so good. It’s amazing to see the progress he’s made over the past two months. We re-registered him for the winter session since he seems to really love it.

When we walked in, Zach said “Hi coach!”

Are y’all watching the CMA’s? Gosh, they are a million times better than any other awards show. Seriously. My friend Jenn and her hubby are there live tonight. No sightings in the audience though. At least not yet.

Our Christmas lights are up. Yup, the company came today and outlined the whole house, hung wreaths and garland; the whole nine. As much as I’d love to fire them up now, we’re waiting until the week of Thanksgiving. Boo!

My friend Marina tweeted me this earlier.

No, for real, my dvr is set to record all the new HALLMARK Channel Christmas movies, every Saturday and Sunday night through Christmas. Now we’re just waiting on Fa La La La Lifetime to get their movie lineup going.

Hope you’re having a great week so far. I’ll catch up more with ya this weekend!

    Happy Halloween friends!

We’re ready for the kids! Stu made me get these full-sized candy bars again this year because he wants us to be the “cool house” on the street. My idea of handing out popcorn balls didn’t fly.

Ainslee will go as a strawberry tonight, but today she made a cute little pumpkin.

Zach on the other hand refuses to wear his costume. The backup plan is to put him in his Yo Gabba Gabba pj’s and call it a day. You can’t reason with a toddler.

Back to Ainslee. It’s time to lower her mattress once again. Girlfriend was just chillin’ up there for about 25mns before she finally fell asleep.

We are carving pumpkins and then heading over to the old hood to do some trick or treating.

Have a great night with your kiddos!

Okay, okay. So It’s Halloween Eve. Big deal. Come Friday, this chick will officially be in the CHRISTMAS spirit. I may have started playing holiday music already. Confession: Our Christmas lights are getting put up next week. We won’t turn them on “on” until Thanksgiving, but at least they’ll be up and ready to go. Speaking of Christmas cheer, this new Baily’s creamer sure did wake me right up this morning.

White chocolate peppermint bark creamer. It’s pretty unbelievable. I found it at Kroger. As I sipped my coffee, I thought about how fun it will be to decorate our new 12 ft Christmas tree (in a few weeks.)

And I had Blake on blast too.

Zach and I braved the rain and went to Target earlier. He was obsessed with the umbrella and wanted to keep it open while we were shopping. I diverted his attention by getting Z a cake pop from Starbs. Worked like a charm.

I came across this amazing-ness while we were there. NYX in Target? YES! YES! YES! Their lip butter is the out of control. I wear apple strudel and maple blondie most of the time.

Tonight we’re taking the kids our church’s fall festival. After we check it out, we’re dropping them back off at home (with a sitter) and going to the season opener of the MAVS game! Woot Woot!

I’m hosting my first Stella & Dot party in two weeks. I think November is a great time to do these little shindigs because everyone is in the Christmas shopping mode. Fa la la la la, la la la laaaa!

On a Yankee candle note, you have to get pumpkin wreath. Oh my goodness! It’s so yummy. You better believe I stocked up a million tarts too.

I’m ashamed to admit this, but last night I made soup from scratch for the first time, like ever. I found it on pinterest, via

Btw, are you following me on pinterest? If you’re not, you should.

Okay, back to the soup. It came out better than I thought. Actually, it was pretty darn amazing.

It’s a skinny veggie detox soup.

Even better the next day. Trust.

Okay kids, Stu is walking in and we’ve gotta go! Have a great night!
