I Can Smell Again!

Hola!

After 9 months of not being able to tolerate any kind of candle scent, I’ve gotten my sense of smell back, woo hoo! Oh, how I’ve missed burning my Yankee Candles and tarts. Their new scent, “kitchen spice” is the candle that won me over. I bought it at Hallmark Monday. I’ve been burning it every night since. Perhaps it’s because the smell is subtle and not too over powering? Whatever. I think I’m good to go on the candle front now.

Totally unrelated, my co-workers threw me a surprise baby shower today. I thought I was meeting H&M clients at 3pm. Little did I know I was walking into my own baby shower. You would of loved the cake they got. It said “Zach Attack.” Joe (our web guy) took pic’s from the whole sha-bang. They’ll be posted tomorrow when I go on the air. Check out 923NOW.com. I’ll post them on my blog too. I completely overdid it with the cake by eating two corner pieces (corner pieces=double frosting. Calculated move.) After I inhaled ~~4.8 lbs of frosting~~ the cake, I moved on to popping endless amounts of hershey’s kisses at the party and on my walk down to the subway. SPINNING class is definitely happening tonight. Gotta run.

Only 2 more days of work- whoa!

Okay, it really needs to be Friday already.

I’ve got a spinning class tonight followed by a little din din with Stu. He was in DC the last 2 nights with Glenn, so yeah, I’ve been missing my baby daddy.

~~Holly Brook~~ Skylar Grey stopped by the 923NOW studio today. She co-wrote Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” and Diddy’s “Coming Home.” She’s a pretty talented chick. Her album will be out this Fall. Look for it.

Ready For The Weekend!!

Yo yo!

It’s Friday. Two weeks from today I start maternity leave. Craziness!

I have a fun night of doing nothing ahead of me. I bailed on my 6am spinning class this morning. Ooops. An extra 4o mns of sleep sounded much better to ~~Zach~~ me. Stu will be in upstate NY tonight doing the Bold and Fresh tour w/ Glenn and Bill O’Reilly so it looks like me and the bambino are hanging by ourselves (which is totally fine with me.) When I get home, I’m going to spend some one-on-one quality time with my treadmill. She misses me a lot. The elliptical has been getting all my TLC and I feel bad. Poor tready milly.

Tomorrow afternoon, I’m doing an appearance at Bambi Baby, the store where we got Zach’s nursery furniture. I’m psyched because Enilio, the owner, is installing our car seat. That’s awesome, because at least we’ll know it’s hooked up and strapped in safely. Stu’s putting the rest of our baby stuff together at one point this weekend- ie: pack n’ play, diaper genie and strollers.

A month from tomorrow is Zach’s due date!!! I hope this kid stays put until then. I need at least a week to relax, get everything ready and mentally prepare for what’s to come. Big.Life.Changes.

Tomorrow night, we’re having din with these two little ladies (and their men.) It’s a triple date!

Sunday afternoon, Stu and I are going on a boat ride with our friends Eddie and Michelle. Groupon had a deal on Philly boat tours, so Michelle and I scooped up tickets. Should be nice considering the weather has been and will be bea-uuu-ti-ful!

Two things totally unrelated, but totally worth mentioning-

The NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE starts today (through Aug 1st.) Umm, this is huge, especially if you have a Nordies card. Three words, Double. Bonus. Points.

I took advantage and bought a couple of Splendid maternity tops. I couldn’t resist. Plus, double bonus points!

And.….if you want to smell like a stack of pancakes, get this! Thank you Bath & Body Works for making your sanitizers smell like desserts (in this case syrup.) I have no idea where they got “honey pretzel” from. It smells nothing like a damn pretzel. I would of never got it if that was the case.

I want to drink this stuff.
